Saryo Tsujiri/ 茶寮都路里
The old sweets store Gion Tsujiri sells green tea and operates on two floors. They offer matcha and matcha sweets made with high-quality Uji tea from Kyoto and Uji, places which are famous for green tea.
The store has a clean and calm atmosphere. Their menu includes parfaits and shaved ice that use matcha, syrup-covered anko (bean jam), and also has light meals like soba, etc.
You can enjoy the delicious taste of matcha in various different forms.
This is a popular st...moreore that has lines all day long during weekends and holidays and sometimes they are an hour long. It is better to come visit when you have some extra time.

Top shops and spots loved by our editors and highly recommended to be listed on your itinerary.
Well Worth a Visit
Less known but widely loved by both tourists and locals. Recommended if your schedule permits.
Good for Fans
Hideaway shops and spots of worthwhile destination. Recommended if you are keen on these genres.
Very popular among enthusiasts on these genres. Not always suitable if you are not particularly interested.
The most popular item on the menu. It uses a total of 11 different types of ingredients, such as sherbet, cream, and jelly that uses matcha, etc. It allows you to enjoy a variety of textures and sweet flavors.
This is a limited-time menu item that is available from around April until September. It has exquisitely sweet tasting adzuki beans on top of shaved ice. Choose between "green tea syrup", "Condensed milk syrup", and "half and half" for the honey.
You can add it to set courses from the order menu. I recommend people drink “Matcha” if they are hesitant to try or are new to bitter flavors.
