Enjoying spicy curry surrounded by lots of nature

Shinrin Shokudo

Shinrin Shokudo
Very unique atmosphere inside of the restaurant- there are many plants as if you are in a forest which actually is originated in the name of this restaurant. Their famous dish is “Aigake curry”. You can enjoy two kinds of curries in one plate! Various kinds of curries such as wild boar meat, chicken and spinach curries are available. All the curries are flavorful and thick but have a light taste. Black rice used for curries is nutritious and you may enjoy the texture as it is harder than regular...more rice. Mistress would welcome you in a cheerful mood, so we suggest that you have a conversation with her!

This restaurant has their own unique styles. As they use various kinds of spices, herbs, vegetables and meats, you may feel the energy when you eat their curries. My favorite curry is the one with wild boar meat. One of the attractive points about their restaurant is that they display the ornaments which were chosen by owner and staff who graduated from art universities!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and like your friends’ house! There are various kinds of flyers about Japanese culture events, art galleries, events and shops. Please have a look at them while waiting for your curries!
