Sushizen
This sushi shop near Karasuma Oike Station has been around for over 70 years. Their chirashizushi is the most popular item on their menu. More than five kinds of seafood, including soy sauce-flavored tuna and sea bream, lie under a blanket of thinly sliced omelet. Nigirizushi and makizushi are also available to enjoy. The shop includes both tatami sitting room and a wooden counter. There are only seven seats at the counter, but if you can get one you will have the chance to see the staff prepari...moreng sushi. Discover an authentic traditional Japanese sushi shop experience.

I recommend the sitting room for people who want to have a wider space to eat. You'll have to sit cross-legged, though.
Chirashi
1Must Eat !
Chirashi / ¥1,150
Several kinds of thin-sliced, soy sauce flavored seafood, including tuna, sea bream, conger eel, squid, and octopus are provided in generous quantities underneath the shredded yellow omelet. The different kinds of seafood provide a variety of tastes and textures to enjoy. Eat as-is, without adding any soy sauce to your dish.
2Must Eat !
Nigiri / ¥1,350
An assortment of nigirizushi. Features eight kinds, including tuna, squid, yellowtail, egg, and conger eel. Some are garnished with plenty of wasabi. Customers who dislike spicy food should check the amount of wasabi before eating.
Clear broth soup
3Let's Try !
Clear broth soup / ¥200
A light soup with the taste of dashi stock. Combines well with the soy sauce and sushi vinegar used in the sushi dishes.
Gari
4Let's Try !
Gari "pickled ginger" / Free
A sweet-sour, pink pickled food to accompany sushi. Great for cleansing the palate. Additional gari may be ordered for free.

- Order Tips -
The Chirashi is generously portioned, so it will satisfy both women and men.
The Nigiri will probably satisfy women, but men may find it's not quite enough by itself.
An additional 3-4 pieces of sushi will help to complete the meal.
