Menu items are written on the walls, so when you want to place an order just look up. Address the staff in English and you’ll be handed an English menu, making ordering a breeze.
If you want to adjust the amount of noodles, for 70 yen you can upgrade your meal to Oomori size. The portion size is considerably large, and is sure to satisfy the appetites of male customers. For female customers, however, the standard Namimori size should prove filling. What’s more, Tonryu has implemented a Kaedama system, in which—after eating your ramen—you can add more noodles to your leftover soup. Unlike Oomori orders, you won’t have to worry about your noodles getting soggy.
If you’d like Kaedama, tell one of the employees “Kaedama wo kudasai.” just before you finish your noodles. Pay 100 yen and in about five minutes you’ll have freshly cooked noodles.
