Enmusubi jishu festival
Enmusubi (praying for a good relationship and a marriage) jishu festival is held at Jishu jinja shrine where is located north of Kiyomizu-dera temple main hall. Jishu jinja shrine is popular as a god of a good relationship and a marriage, and Okuninushinomikoto is a god of Jishu shrine. Jishu jinja festival is a monthly event which take place on the first Sunday of every month from 2 pm. The priest recites a Shinto prayer and the purification ceremony of love stones and wooden plaques is also pe...morerformed during the event. A lot of wooden plaques are hung on the rack, these are written by visitors who come from various places. A good luck gavel is offered to visitor for free of charge.

Purification ceremony of wooden plaques
A ritual for wooden plaques which are dedicated by visitors who come from various places every day is performed by the priest. Wooden plaques are sold in 1000 yen, and if you write your hope on your wood plaque and dedicate it to Jishu jinja shrine until 2 pm on the jishu festival event day, your wooden plaque is also able to receive a purification ceremony. A lot of wooden plaques are put on the rack every day.

Good luck gavel
A good luck gavel is an amulet for good fortune and world peace. It is served to visitors for free. Please carry it every day, by keeping in your bag or wallet. If it becomes old, please write your name and age on the back side of the good luck gavel amulet and bring it to ‘Okage myojin’ which is located in a precinct. It is the exactly place that you can return your holy amulet to.

Love stones
Two love stones are placed on the way to the main hall. The one love stone is in gate of shrine and the other one is in back of the precinct. The distance of each stone is 10m. It is said that people who can successfully walk between the two "love stones" with their eyes closed will find a true love. Please try it!
