A beer garden on top of the Kyoto Tower Hotel!
Summer in Kyoto means beer gardens. There are beer gardens all over Kyoto, on the rooftops of restaurants and department stores, but the beer garden on top of the Kyoto Tower Hotel is an especially popular one. This beer garden has a long history of over 50 years that started in the year 1966. The beer garden is held outside on the 10th floor of the Kyoto Tower Hotel, and from there you can enjoy an almost boundless view of Kyoto City below you. Here you can enjoy around 50 different alcoholic beverages and around 40 Western, Japanese, and Chinese dishes with no time limit. It is time to say cheers below one of the most famous landmarks of Kyoto, the Kyoto Tower! ▼Click here for Editor's Report http://sharing-kyoto.com/Blog/b_beer-garden-kyototower

At the beer garden they have beer, of course, but also wine, cocktails, sake, plum liquor, and other drinks; altogether around 50 different types of drinks. They also have soda and juice so those with kids can also go.

They have all kinds of dishes that go well with beer, like fried foods and edamame beans, and salad, curry, all the way to oden and xiaolongbao steamed buns. All of these are made by the chefs of the hotel so the taste is guaranteed. They also have desserts like popsicles.

After sunset, the Kyoto Tower is illuminated. You can enjoy the night view of it and bask in the blue glow of the lower part of the tower.

Besides the normal drinks menu, they also have some drinks that are not normal. Take for examples this Tornado Dispenser from Asahi, which makes it possible to not pour a beer into a pint, but inject it from below, making the bubbles inside swirl in a way that looks like a tornado, hence the name. They also have all kinds of cocktails you can freely customize yourself.

This is a summer event that can be enjoyed by both those who like beer and those don’t! It is a nice point that there is no time limit so you can eat and drink without having to look at the watch.

The reason why you would go to this beer garden would have to be because of Kyoto Tower, and the view you get from the 10th floor. And the view of the tower at night is nice; drinking some beer while looking at this almost futuristic looking Eiffel Tower of Kyoto is something you are sure to remember. They have Asahi (Superdry and Superdry Black), Kirin, Heartland, and Lowenbrau, plus wines, cocktails, and other drinks, so you won’t leave this beer garden thirsty. What is most important here is that it is fun drinking below the famed Kyoto Tower. To describe the experience succinctly, with just one Japanese word, it would have to be “Kampai!” That is, cheers.
