The biggest queer film festival in Kyoto!
The Kansai Queer Film Festival (KQFF) screens a wide range of films on the themes of gender, sexuality, and equality from both Japan and all over the world. Now in its 12th year, KQFF 2018 will be held in Osaka (Toyonaka Step) from 9/22 to 9/24 and in Kyoto (Seibu-Kodo, Kyoto University) from 10/19 to 10/21. Everyone is welcome, no matter their identity or nationality. KQFF will be screening a diverse selection of 29 feature-length and short-films from 16 different countries and regions, including a special feature program of 6 films highlighting queer deaf culture! KQFF will also be holding an all-night screening on Saturday 20th.
English and Japanese subtitles!
All films will have Japanese subtitles. Some films not in English will have English subtitles.
