Hosomi Museum/ 細見美術館
The Hosomi Museum was founded in March 1998 and is located in Kyoto's eastern district of Okazaki. The museum is based on the collection of Hosomi Ryo with 1000 works of Japanese art. Items include Heian and Kamakura Buddhist/Shinto art, Muromachi painting, lacquerware, tea ceremony kettles, Momoyama ceramics, as well as Edo paintings.

Exhibition room has collections which are made from ancient to middle periods (4th-16th centuries). In addition to that, early modern period (16th-19th centuries) products also are available. This is one of the ancient products.

Tea room was designed by Nakamura Sotoji with a traditional Sukiya architecture style. Everyday, tea and sweets are offered and you can join to experience tea events. Reservations are required in advance.
