Kyoto Tower

/ 京都タワー
Established in 1964, Kyoto Tower has been one of the most famous landmarks of Kyoto. Its unique figure is made by the image of a lighthouse. Different from Eiffel Tower and Tokyo Tower, Kyoto Tower is not made of any steel frames. Instead of the steel frame, special steel plate cylinders are connected by the welding to make this round shape. Inside of this tower, there are souvenir shops, a dollar shop called Daiso on the 2nd floor, and several kinds of restaurant on various floors. There is als...moreo a public bathhouse in the basement, so you may want to try it after looking through Kyoto on top of the tower.

It was actually the first time for me to visit Kyoto Tower! We have visited during the day time, so we could see the beautiful sceneries through Kyoto city. It was a good point that you could use the telescopes for free! You can check out famous tourist spots as if you are just in front of them. As it is open till 9pm, you could enjoy the night view of Kyoto!
