Things to do
Look through the whole Kyoto city from this symbolic tower!
Established in 1964, Kyoto Tower has been one of the most famous landmarks of Kyoto. Its unique figure is made by the image of a lighthouse. Different from Eiffel Tower and Tokyo Tower, Kyoto Tower is not made of any steel frames. Instead of the steel frame, special steel plate cylinders are connected by the welding to make this round shape. Inside of this tower, there are souvenir shops, a dollar shop called Daiso on the 2nd floor, and several kinds of restaurant on various floors. There is als...moreo a public bathhouse in the basement, so you may want to try it after looking through Kyoto on top of the tower.
