Experience a public bath in the basement of Kyoto Tower
Some of you may know that Japan is popular for public baths and hot springs. If you would like to experience a public bath with ease in Kyoto, you should visit Kyoto Tower Public Bathhouse ~YUU~. It is in the basement of Kyoto Tower which is a famous landmark located just in front of Kyoto Station. The way you enjoy Japanese public bath is quite different from the one in the western countries. First you need to be completely naked when you take a bath (you can take a small towel for washing your body). Then please wash your body before taking a bath. As this public bath opens from 7am, you may enjoy having a bath in the basement of Kyoto Tower when you arrive in Kyoto early in the morning!
Public Bath For Men
It is fun taking bath with this hot water fountain! It is interesting that there is a panel of Mt. Daimonji on the wall which is one of Kyoto’s major landmarks. Therefore, you may feel as if you are in the center of Kyoto while taking a bath! It is a good point that the dressing room is clean!
Public Bath For women
In women’s bath, there is a regular bathtub with hot water in it. As there is a quiet and relaxing atmosphere inside of the public bath, you may enjoy the calm moment with your body relaxed. The dressing room is warm enough to take off your clothes, so you can easily come to Kyoto Tower Public Bathhouse ~YUU~ even in winter. The lockers are secured with keys that you can bring to the public bath with you.
