Kyo-no-miyage, literately means "Kyoto's Souvenir". It's a great one-stop shop for quick souvenir shopping. Especially great for those who needs to shop for gifts at last minute before leaving Kyoto. Great selection of gifts as well as some snacks to take on your Shinkansen ride.
Samurai Nippon (300ml)
Recommend !
Samurai Nippon (300ml) / ¥1,944
One of the most popular items in the Sake section is this Samurai Nippon Sake. Although the bigger size displayed in the store is not for sale, these 300ml size ones will make a wonderful souvenir. There are other bottles of sake brewed in Kyoto sold here. Look for unique packages, these will make great souvenirs!
Nama Fu Mochi
Recommend !
Nama Fu Mochi / 3 pieces ¥648 |5 pieces ¥972
Very distinct type of sweets in Kyoto, this Nama Fu Mochi is made out of wheat starch with red bean filling. By wrapping it in bamboo leaves gives the round sweets a unique fragrance. The mochi itself has mugwort , a leafy green plant. These Nama Fu Mochi are sometime eaten warm by putting them in boiling water for 2 minutes. These must be refrigerated (lasts about 3 days) and great eaten cold also. We recommend that you take some on your train ride and snack on it on the way to your next destin...moreation.
