I highly recommend that you visit this shop when you leave Kyoto. As it is located right next to the train gates, this is the best place to buy a souvenir. I personally like the jellies introduced on this page as they are not too sweet but the delicate taste of jellies lastes very long.

Konpeito "Shiki" / ¥864
You may not be familiar with the term "Konpeito". Konpeito is a small colored sugar candy originally from Portugal. It was one of the sweets brought from Portugal in 1546 and was an eye-catching item. As you can see in this picture, they are very colorful and cute as they are small. It is sweet and you can eat many because it is so tiny!
Kyo Hangetsu
Recommend !
Kyo Hangetsu / 5pieces ¥691
This is a Japanese sweet cracker with different kinds of bean paste in the middle. They are strained bean paste and Matcha flavor strained bean paste. Both of them are not too sweet, so you may enjoy the rich flavor of both crackers. There are 5 marks of Japanese symbols on them and they are all pretty.

Hanayose / ¥1,242
This box of assorted Japanese crackers is good for a souvenir as it is light and has a long expiration date. They are salty and made of rice flour. Since there are various kinds of crackers, the tastes are all different. You may find the one you like!
Hana no Yoi
Check it out !
Hana no Yoi / 12pieces ¥1,080
It is a nice souvenir for those who like jellies! At the first glace, you may not think this is a jelly as each one of them is very delicate and fine. They look like a jewelry or a precious stone. As it is light and flat, it is convenient to put in your luggage!
