Story & Recommendation
Kyoto International Performing Arts Festival is held in Autumn in Okazaki, Kyoto, city of art.
The Kyoto International Performing Arts Festival has been held every fall since 2010 and is an art festival focusing on theater and exhibits of artwork. Leading artists from within Japan and around the world congregate to perform, dance, show artwork, music, architecture, and more. The Okazaki area, home to Heian Shrine, a famous touristic destination, and also more places in Kyoto are where you will see a range of experimental works. The program each year is based on a different theme to convey messages to society, with works of art. From Oct.22th to Nov.13th, a range of programs are held at various venues. You can check the official web site in advance and find the date and the events that interest you. Kyoto is a unique city where traditional and contemporary culture intermingles. Why not take this opportunity to check out the frontline of the art?
