Shopping in Teramachi and Shinkyogoku!
Part 3
Trendy shopping day in Teramachi

Next, we have a course with the new shops and restaurants popular right now! There are many new shops on the busy shopping streets of Teramachi and Shinkyogoku, and all of them are chic and just great! Here are seven of them that Sharing Kyoto likes the best:
1URBAN RESEARCH KYOTO

This fashionable clothing store is in the corner where Nishiki Market joins Teramachi Shopping Street, and it is popular among young Japanese people in their 20’s and 30’s.

The first floor is for men, and the second one for women, so even couples can enjoy shopping here.
There are even some things you can only buy at this shop.

They also have a café inside the shop, so for those who want to enjoy a break for shopping, this is the place. The café is located on the first floor, but they also have sofas and seating on the second floor too.
2GLOBAL WORK Kyoto Rokkaku

Global Work can also be enjoyed by both men and women. Their clothes can be worn by both students and older people.
And it is cheap! If you find something you like, you can buy a lot!

1SHIN-SETSU

How about having a colorful cream soda and a hot pancake at Shin-Setsu after your lunch?
This café is famous for having 22 different types of cream soda.

And the pancakes at Shin-Setsu are brought to your table on hot steel plates, so you can enjoy freshly made, piping hot pancake! For me, the hot pancakes always feel like they taste so much better! Weird, isn’t it?

The café looks cute, and I’m sure all of us girls will just go awwww at it!
2TEO KAFON

If you want to take a break from shopping, Teo Kafon is the best place for that! Teo Kafon is on a small alley by Shinkyogoku Shopping Street, and it is famous for matcha sweets.

The one everyone is focusing on is this plate of matcha sweets! It has five different matcha sweets, and all of them are handmade.

The éclair is especially popular. There is a lot of matcha cream inside of it, and it is something matcha fans cannot leave untasted. They also offer lunch, so this may be a good restaurant to go to for lunch also.
1mumokuteki goods &wears

First, I want to introduce this shop, mumokuteki goods & wears! This shop is the mumokuteki café I just told you about.

The concept of this shop is “Good for the body, good for the environment.” They sell all kinds of things from natural candy and seasonings to Kyoto’s traditional crafts and cute clothes and bags; they even sell plants!

The café is on the second floor, and although it is very popular and you often have to wait, you can browse the shop downstairs while you wait.
2Kanzashiya Wargo

Buying a kanzashi, a traditional Japanese hair ornament, as a souvenir is something very cool also. The kanzashi specialty shop Kanzashiya Wargo on Shinkyogoku Shopping Street is the biggest one in Japan, selling around 20,000 hair ornaments in a month.

Many girls go to Wargo to get their cute kanzashi. This is a souvenir bound to make all girls happy.
How about this shopping course with many charming shops? The Teramachi and Shinkyogoku shopping streets are always changing, and there are always new shops, so no matter when you go, there is always something new to enjoy.
