Story & Recommendation
Satisfying classic western dishes brings back locals and visitors
A restaurant that is popular among locals including those who are a repeat customer. The heavenly food and pleasant location brings back visitors multiple times including those who stop by every time they visit Kyoto. The chef creates western style classic dishes familiar to most Japanese people. His original sauces are also impactful complimenting with the main part of the dish. The flavors of the dishes are not overpowering at all. The restaurant is located inside of Kamishichiken Maiko/Geiko district, and is a place they frequent as one of their favorite places to go. The delicate characteristics of Maiko and Geiko seems to be a match with the food served at Grill Yahey.
