Story & Recommendation
Sushi bar in the middle of the local fish market, serving very fresh seafood
Conveyor belt style sushi is popular in Japan. We can visit there easily as a casual sushi restaurant with low price. Sushi ichiba is also the same style sushi restaurant, but taste is different from usual. At first, this restaurant is located at the center of the fish market where is located at near the Kyoto station. And seafood are procured from the market every day. That’s why sushi ichiba can offer us fresh seafood, not frozen one. Every day price and recommend depends on market situation. And you can see processes in which sushi is cooked at the counter. Please enjoy these performances too.
Ume-Koji (set menu) / ￥1,500
If you don’t have specific seafood you want to eat, please try set menu. Ume-koji set includes 8 pieces of sushi, aka-dashi miso soup and dessert as well. Not only sushi but also matcha dessert is also yummy ! Condensed matcha is used for dessert.
Sushi / Market price
One plate has 2 pieces of sushi. Since the recommendation of seafood changes every day, so please ask the staff about it. This season (December) is ready to eat yellow tail or horse mackerel. You can share with your friend each pieces.
Araziru / ￥400
You will be surely surprised when this araziru has been served. Head of fish is inside soup. Soup is just fish broth with a little bit salt. It is simple taste unlike its appearance.
Sushi lesson / ￥2500 - ￥3000 (depends on seafood)
You can make the delicious sushi ! Sushi lesson is held at the second floor. Teacher is teaching you that how to grab the fishes, make the rice and roll the sushi as well. You can eat sushi which are cooked by yourself. You will fell more tasty because you made it !
