Healthy and delicious dishes at a traditional inn in Ohara
Located just in front of Sanzen-in Temple, Ryokan Seryo offers healthy and delicious Japanese dishes with seasonable vegetables. Ryokan is a Japanese-style inn and inside of this Ryokan Seryo, there is a restaurant called Hinazato. When you enter the restaurant, you may feel comfortable with sunlight and the floor heating during the winter. Each dish is very tasty and you may enjoy the fine taste of vegetables taken mainly in Kyoto. Staff are all nice and kind, so you will surely have a wonderful time there!

Michikusa Bento

Bento means a lunch box and this set would come in the beautiful bento box as you can see in this picture. It is a three-story bento box and each box exquisitely contains small meals. There are mainly fish and seasonable edible wild plants. They are all nicely seasoned and you may enjoy the sophisticated taste of the ingredients.

Kyoyuba Zen

If you are not familiar with the term “Yuba”, it is a tofu skin made from gently boiled soybean milk. On this dish plate, you will have yuba with special soup, so please dip them as it gives more flavors. Every dish is very delicious but our favorite is the rice with seasonable vegetable and mushrooms. Quality and quantity of this dish will surely make your stomach satisfied.

All the dishes are very tasty and flavorful but we especially recommend that you order either Michikusa Bento or Kyoyuba Zen as you may be satisfied by the quality and the quantity of the meals!
