Authentic Italian Cuisine Offered by Chef Valentino Palmisano
La Locanda's Italian Chef de Cuisine, Valentino Palmisano from Napoli, offers authentic Italian cuisine at this stylish and relaxing restaurant. The amazing thing about La Locanda is that Chef Valentino uses carefully selected ingredients imported from Italy and offers various lunch and dinner courses which are certain to satisfy you both with their delicious authentic flavors and with their great hospitality. If you would prefer a private room, three types of rooms are available (please refer to the “Notes” section under the details tab for more information). Various unique dining events are held at La Locanda, so keep an eye out for them too!
This Tomato Pasta is one of the signature dishes of La Locanda. When you imagine “tomato pasta”, you may imagine it to be entirely red; however, interestingly this Neapolitan tomato pasta follows authentic Italian cooking methods and lacks any of that bright red color we are so used to seeing. The ingredients are all imported from Italy, even the fruity tomatoes on top of the pasta. The flavors of the fresh basil and fragrant garlic perfectly match the Gragnano pasta and parmesan cheese. All in all, this is simply the best pasta I have ever tasted in my life!
It took about a year to discover the best low fat meat in Japan that would meet the chef’s expectation, and this is it. The beef is nicely grilled and the smoked cheese works to provide the dish with a wonderful aroma. The beef tendon used in this dish melts in your mouth and leaves a clean, yet rich flavor of beef. This dish also features the wonderful crunchy texture of chicory as well.
This dish was another favorite with our writers; artichoke topped with two different cuts of tuna, in a potato sauce that is dusted with coffee powder. When you first take a bite, you’ll first be met with the fresh aroma of the Burrata cheese, and then the flavors of the well cooked artichoke and cuts of tuna will work their way across your palette. The coffee powder also works to give an overall refreshing flavor to the dish.
Infiniment Citron by PIERRE HERMÉ PARIS
Every restaurant in the resort, including La Locanda, offer desserts by PIERRE HERMÉ PARIS, and this is their “Infiniment Citron”. This lemon centric dessert features lemon cream, lemon pulp, candied lemon and a light lemon cream that combine together to give the dessert a rich and refreshing aroma. Discover the different flavors of each aspect of this dessert in every bite.
