Large parties welcome! Enjoy udon noodles in a spacious, open setting
This udon noodle restaurant is located midway between Kodaiji Temple and Kiyomizudera Temple—a convenient location for sightseers. The interior is spacious and open, so even large groups can dine without feeling cramped. Its famous udon noodles are eaten with vegetables and sesame seed garnishes. The restaurant also serves rice bowls and a la carte Japanese Cuisine, as well as over ten varieties of sake. Great for lunch or just to sip sake. This restaurant is a comfortable place to dine for all patrons, including families, couples, and the elderly.
Nadai Omen noodles / ¥1,150 ( Large ¥1,300)
Dip the chewy udon noodles into soup along with sesame seeds and vegetables. We recommend putting in plenty of sesame seed, and eating one type of vegetable at a time.
Steamed rice & grains with roast beef / ¥980
Soy sauce-flavored grated daikon complements the savory "umami" flavor of the roast beef. Accented with a bed of crisp lettuce. Pour on some green wasabi sauce if you would like to add a bit of spiciness.
Fried local eggplant & wheat cake with house miso / ¥880
Enjoy the large, plump, and juicy eggplant by breaking off pieces with chopsticks. The miso is a little on the strong side and goes well with sake.
Organic red pepper / Free *Can be purchased at the store (¥494 and up)
Recommended for diners who want to spice up their meal—try them all and find your favorite. All four varieties are available for purchase if you find a flavor you enjoy.
