CUCINA ITALIANA & BAR SFIDA is an Italian restaurant located in downtown Pontocho that offers authentic Italian cuisine made with fresh seasonal ingredients.
While training at a well known Kyoto Italian restaurant, chef Tsurutani began wanting to introduce the people of Kyoto to the wonders of authentic traditional Italian cooking. That’s why all the food you’ll taste at CUCINA ITALIANA & BAR SFIDA are traditional Italian dishes with modern and Kyoto-esque twists on them.
CUCINA ITALIANA & BAR SFIDA sits inside a refurbished traditional Kyoto townhouse and features a chic Japanese/Western fusion design. However, one of the most irreplaceably wonderful aspects of this restaurant has to be the fact that you can enjoy your meal against the beautiful backdrop of the Kamogawa River.
Through the months of May to Septemeber, CUCINA ITALIANA & BAR SFIDA opens its riverside terrace, providing an even more charming and intimate dining experience.
During the day, CUCINA ITALIANA & BAR SFIDA limit themselves to only their reasonably priced lunch course, while at night, they offer À la carte and a dinner-only course.
Additionally, on the second floor is BAR SFIDA, where you can relax with your medicine of choice after finishing your meal downstairs.
