Fruit & Café Hosokawa is a famous fruit parlor in Kyoto, located close to Shimogamo Shrine. The specialty of this place is that they offer fruit at its very best ripeness, at its sweetest.
Their menu lets you enjoy the deliciousness of the fruits themselves and contains such classics as their famous fruit sandwich, but you can also have fruit parfaits, cakes, and juice here too. Their fruit sandwich is so popular and famous that many people come from other faraway cities in Japan to Hosokawa in order to taste it. They also have seasonal fruit sandwiches which I’d like to also recommend.
You can have the fruit sandwich here at the café, or you can have one to go and enjoy it while you enjoy sightseeing at Shimogamo Shrine.
