Eastern and western influences! New and fashionable omelet and red bean burgers at knot café!
knot café is located near the famous shrine of Kitano Tenmangu, in a building that at first sight may look like a storage unit, but inside it’s completely different, as the wooden interior warmly welcomes you to the café. The café combines the chocolate of New York’s Nunu Chocolates with the offerings of the traditional sweets shops of Kyoto such as Chogoromochi Honpo and Senbon Tamajuken, not to forget the bakery Le Petit Mec. Among their sweets, the ones that have received most acclaim have to be the omelet and red bean burgers. The coffee beans of this café come from Brooklyn, N.Y., but they also offer hojicha lattes and alcoholic drinks, among others. If the weather is nice, it would be a splendid idea to get some coffee and a burger to go from knot café, and then have a little picnic in some quiet little nook of Kyoto.
