As you step into Liquor Museum Karasuma Sanjo Honten, you’re met by a truly surprising sight as the bar is, well, like a museum. However, instead of artifacts, what you'll find lining the walls at Liquor Museum are bottles of alcohol.

In the darkness, under the yellow lights, you get to enjoy the atmosphere an authentic whisky bar. Liquor Museum has a truly incredilbe range of drinks, but their selection of whisky is especially impressive, making it the perfect spot for whisky-connoisseurs.
If you’re a beginner to the world of whisky, the staff can recommend whiskies that are easy to drink even for newcomers, and they also have cocktails for those who like their alcohol on the lighter side.
Liquor Museum also offers an incredible happy hour between 2 and 8 p.m. that offers half off everything on their "grand menu."
You'll find a nice selection of snacks too, such as edamame green beans, pizza, sandwiches. And there's even free Wi-Fi!
So next time you're looking for a place to chill out and try some different drinks, swing by Liquor Museum Karasuma Sanjo Honten! *There is an entrance fee of ¥500 during happy hour, but as it lasts six hours and you break even with just two drinks, it's more than worth it.

Compared to edamame at other bars, these edamame have the delicious aroma of olive oil. This bar snack goes very nicely with whisky and only gets better the more you drink.

Sandwiched between two slices of toast is a juicy Hamburg steak made from meat from the famous yakiniku restaurant Hiro. The crispy toast and juicy beef compliment each other and give this simple-looking sandwich surprisingly deep flavors.
