Beer Pub Takumiya offers 10 types of craft beers in Kyoto
Beer Pub Takumiya is located in a small alley close to Karasuma Oike Street. The pub opened in 2015 and it offers a selection of 10 Japanese craft beers mainly from west Japan that change daily. Outside the restaurant is blue, but inside you can feel the warmth of wood. You can see the bartender chatting with the patrons; feel the nice pub-atmosphere. Kyoto Brewery Co.’s Seasonal Release Series is a series of beers, one for every season. The beer has a light taste, and should be especially pleasing for those who don’t normally like beer that much. There is a bit of citrus in the taste, and the aftertaste is very pleasant.

The wild boar shumai dumplings have a thin wrapper, and inside you don’t find the usual fare, but juicy wild boar meat in surprisingly big pieces. The wild boar is incredible juicy, and the taste almost overwhelms you when you bite into it. They also have dumpling sauce and mustard for those who want to add a little something to the shumai.
