Real coffee by Fushimi Inari Shrine at Vermillion - cafe.
When it comes to cafes or restaurants right next to sightseeing spots, you tend to not expect too much. Usually, if the food you get is not bad, you’ve found a great spot.
But Vermillion - cafe. is not like what you’d expect; the food, and especially the coffee, is beyond excellent. They’ve put a lot of thought into the coffee here; they especially order a special blend of coffee from one of Kyoto’s hippest coffee roasters, WEEKENDERS COFFEE, which the owner of this coffee roaster has made especially to fit Vermillion. The coffee here doesn’t have any of that overpowering sourness many Japanese coffees have, but it has a nice, dark-chocolate-like depth to the taste.
