Story & Recommendation
Sake, ice cream, and Baumkuchen at Fushimi Yume Hyakushu Café
Fushimi Yume Hyakushu Café is in Fushimi (as you probably guessed from the name), an area famous for its quality water and sake brewing. This café is located in a huge traditional Japanese building that used to be the headquarters of Gekkeikan. The café is run by an NPO called Fushimi Kanko Kyokai that works to promote the area of Fushimi.
At Fushimi Yume Hyakushu Café you can enjoy sweets with sake; their specialty is the sake affogato, ice cream served not with an espresso shot, but with a cup of sake. In fact, most of the sweets served here contain sake in one form or another.
They also have a souvenir shop where you can buy all kinds of sake and even soy sauce!
