Try the Best Kyoto's Sake Holy Land of Fushimi has to Offer
Every November in the woefully local shopping street of Fushimi Otesuji St., a huge Japanese sake tasting event, called the Sake Matsuri in Otesuji St., is held.
Featuring stalls from famous Fushimi breweries such as Kizakura and Gekkeikan, in addition to 14 other, this festival gives you the chance to taste the best of what Kyoto's sake holy land has to offer.
The stores of the Otesuji St. shopping arcade set up food stalls as well, and sell everything from classic Japanese bar snacks to okonomiyaki and sushi!
Whether you’re looking to chat with locals about sake, or just find something nice for yourself, this festival is sure to have something for every sake lover.
