Get to see, play, and relax with hedgehogs at Tom’s Mr. Hedgie
When you think of hedgehogs, you probably think of their spikes, right? But at Tom’s Mr. Hedgie in front of Kyoto’s Shinkyogoku Rokkaku Park, you get to pet these cute little animals! This place is very popular; it’s full of people on weekday mornings, not to speak of the weekends! You can wear gloves when you hold the hedgehogs in your hands, and they are so cute and cuddly! You also get to feed them, which will almost make you feel like a hedgehog-nurse. Do you want to pet hedgehogs? If you do, then you should quickly head to Tom’s Mr. Hedgie.
Once you step inside, you get to see the cute hedgehogs in their cages, either sleeping or running around. If you look at them carefully, you’ll notice that the color of their coats differs a bit. They’re more domesticated than I thought, and playing with them was really relaxing.
With the feeding plan, you get to feed the hedgehog three pieces of its feed. The hedgehogs have a keen sense of smell, so they’ll eat the feed right away.
After playing with a hedgehog, you may want to take one home with you. But as this is a bit difficult, how about buying a plushie handmade by the staff here at Tom’s Mr. Hedgie? It’s a great souvenir!
