Spend a day in a large shopping mall fun for people of all ages
Aeon Katsuragawa is a large shopping mall consisting three floors of shops and restaurants totaling to about 220 stores. A whole day can easily be spent here to shop for fashion and variety of goods. There are also an electronic store, movie theater, arcade, and ample amount of eateries. The mall is connected to JR Train Katsuragawa Station through a roofed walkway so the mall can be visited without an umbrella on a rainy day. There are many tax-free stores, just look for the symbol indicating tax-free in the stores.
Aeon Style is a tax-free store with variety of items from groceries to fashion items all in one place. Many shoppers buy souvenirs like Japanese snacks, liquor, cosmetics, wrist watches and more. Take your receipt to the service counter located on the first floor of Aeon Style to get your tax refund which must be made on the same day of purchase.
There are so many eateries inside the Aeon mall. The food court is just one area out of many other eatery areas inside the mall. Food court is quick, easy, reasonable, and consists of many choices to choose from. You won’t get tired of eating here multiple times a day. Take a walk around the food court and see if any restaurant appeals to you out of choices like IPPUDO RAMEN EXPRESS, KAIRIKIYA, TEXAS KING STEAK, and many others. The great part of the food court is that it’s open early from 9am and closes at 10pm. The Hawaiian Pancake Factory may be a perfect breakfast for you. There are also Japanese cuisines like Sushi or Korean cuisine for Bibimbaps.

Find both Japanese and overseas brands, and the variety makes it perfect for people of all ages. You can find popular shops like UNIQLO which is a tax-free shop for overseas visitors. Nana’s Green Tea
Notice that the floor of Nana’s Green Tea. It is pushed outward in which they designed it as a “kawadoko” style or river-floor style that are commonly seen during the summer season in Kyoto along the Kamo River. The café serves tea beverages like matcha lattes and other tea beverages. Take a break from shopping and enjoy some tea!
