Story & Recommendation
Soy sauce which Makes Sushi and Japanese Food Taste Miles Better!
This shop, nestled away in a quiet residential area near the Kyoto imperial garden, has been making and selling Soy sauce for around a hundred years. One part of this building, which still produces Soy sauce, has been made into a shop where the products are lined up on display along with genuine cedar barrels that are actually used in the production of Soy sauce and an aromatic fragrance fills the air. The Soy sauce made at 「Sawai-shoyu Honten」 is made with the same painstaking process as ever, giving it a delicious and luxurious flavor that will add an extra layer of deliciousness to your own cooking or even store-bought sushi.
