Story & Recommendation
Elegant modern stoles and accessories in beautiful Japanese colors
Long-standing Kyoto kimono brand, Chiso, produces SOHYA TAS, a specialty store offering stoles, scarfs, and other accessories. Using their special yuzen dyeing technique, SOHYA TAS transforms beautiful colors and patterns into accessories that can be used in various occasions. The Chiso brand continues to collaborate with other designers in creating modern products that you can find in this SOHYA TAS store. One example is the collaboration with a popular men’s underwear brand "Gravevault". To find these various elegant accessories, enter from the entrance of café restaurant “Iyemon Salon,” walk up to the second floor, and enter the store.

Stoles
Stoles / ¥6,000~
There are about 80 to 100 stoles and scarfs in the store with various patterns, colors, textures and cuts. Many of them are made with 100% silk which produces stoles that charmingly flow in the air with translucency of colors. Many customers find these Japanese colors and patterns very pleasant, and since there are so many patterns, colors and cuts, there will always be one that matches your taste.

Barrettes and Brooches
Barrettes and Brooches / ¥2,800 for barrettes/¥2,500 for brooches
The “small trips chiso” line consists of barrettes and brooches with beautiful designs of Chiso brand. The concept of this line is “small fragment from a trip” with hopes for something special to keep in memory of a wonderful trip in Kyoto. Take home a piece of Kyoto that can remind you of Japan as well as style up your fashion at the same time.

Museum
Museum / Free
Free to walk in, this museum is right next to SOHYA TAS located on the second floor from the “Iyemon Salon” entrance. The exhibition changes couple of times a year and displays collections of art and historical pieces that the long-standing brand, Chiso, collected over the years. Because kimono is an art form itself, sharing the appreciation of art is something Chiso proudly exhibits.
