This shop, nanaco plus+, is an accessory shop on Yanagikoji, a small alley close to the business district of Shijo Kawaramachi. The shop’s specialty is their accessories which contain real candy, but they also sell other things too. These accessories are especially popular among young women, and the shop is always bustling with customers. This shop, nanaco plus+, also has a “Japanese candy project” through which they want to promote traditional Japanese handmade candy by making accessories out of them. In this way they want to get people to appreciate these delicate and beautiful candies more. Inside the small shop they sell colorful accessories made to look like konpeito and higashi sweets, and it is an exhilarating experience just to get to walk among these cute products. These products make great souvenirs, both for yourself or your friends.

These are the most famous products at nanaco plus+, and the round form and colorfulness of them are really cute. All the candy used in these accessories is real. Besides the earrings, they also sell kanzashi, accessories for smartphones, and hair bands. They use real candy in their accessories, but the candy is coated using a patented special coating method.

These accessories are made to look like kompeito candy. They don’t contain real kompeito but look just like the real thing. They sell kompeito earrings, necklaces, and other things too.

These dried candy accessories are great for those who want something a bit more mature and Japanese. The dried candy is modeled after candy really sold in Kyoto’s traditional Japanese sweets shops, such as wasanbon and Hoshikingyoku, and the smartphone straps and earrings are all very cute.
