Story & Recommendation
Rakusho is a tea house in Kyoto, in front of the main gate of Kodai-ji Temple, famous for its warabimochi
Rakusho is a tea house located on the Path of Nene close to many famous sightseeing spots such as Kodai-ji and Entoku-in temples. Inside the tea house the atmosphere is quintessentially Japanese and you get to enjoy sweets and matcha while you watch the carps swimming in the pond of the Japanese garden. But Rakusho is most famous for their warabimochi. The warabimochi are topped with high-quality, fragrant kinako, or roasted soy bean flour, and also contain a lot of matcha, and they are so popular that there is often a line in front of the shop. Warabimochi is the perfect souvenir, no matter whether you are buying them for your friends, family, or your workplace.
