Yojiya’s store near Ginkaku-ji Temple has a beautiful Japanese garden(Shops&Cafe)
Yojiya is a Japanese cosmetics brand from Kyoto, and now they have a store close to Ginkaku-ji Temple too. After going in through the gate of the store, you get to the Japanese garden. After this, you get to the building which is both a café and the store. Many people come here for the café, but the store also sells many nice things such as blotting paper, hand cream, lip balm, soap, and many other things. When you come here, don’t just have the famous matcha cappuccino, but also remember to take a look at all these nice cosmetics on sale.
Oil blotting facial paper with cherry blossom

Oil blotting facial paper with cherry blossom / ¥330 (+tax)
The famous blotting paper of Yojiya has been loved by the customers of the store for a long time. It takes away excess facial oil and helps smoothen your skin. It softly touches the skin so it won’t ruin your makeup. It’s made from special paper, so you should definitely try it.
Oshiroigami (facial powder paper)
2Recommend!
Oshiroigami (facial powder paper) / ¥480 (+tax)
This product is great when you need to fix your makeup. The sheets have powder on them, so you get the powder on your skin which fixes blemishes. Your skin will look great right away. This product is something you definitely need when you want to fix your makeup. Note: This is not blotting paper, so it’s more effective to use it after taking away sebum with the blotting paper.
Mayugomori hand cream

Mayugomori hand cream / ¥390/10g・¥650/30g・¥1,430/100g (+tax)
This hand cream uses the natural ingredient found in silk, Sericin, and by using this it feels like your hands were surrounded by a soft, silky feeling. This is something you need to have in autumn and winter, especially as it not only makes the surface layer of your skin soft, but also softens the deeper layers too!
Towels made out of Japanese paper

Towels made out of Japanese paper / ¥860 (+tax)
These towels really are made of Japanese paper! But these paper towels are fine even if they get wet, unlike most things that are made of paper. These towels are made by using a traditional method through which the paper is made into strings, from which these towels are woven. The towels are nice for washing your body, you can use them to rub off the dirt from your body. After this you can just leave the towels to dry. One towel can be used for a long time.

This store is in a traditional Japanese house and it even has a garden! Yojiya’s blotting paper is great, but I especially like their hand cream. I have bought it three times already! The store is close to Ginkaku-ji Temple so why not come here when you are sightseeing?
