Story & Recommendation
The Togetsu-kyo Bridge is the symbol of Arashiyama surrounded by wonderful scenery
Surrounded by wonderful scenery of nature, the Togetsukyo Bridge is one of the symbols of Arashiyama. Here you can listen to the relaxing sound of the river, spot rowing boats, and run into tourists enjoying their rickshaw rides. Although the river that crosses the bridge is one, the names differ splitting the river names into two. Although only one river runs under the bridge, the names differ on each side of the bridge. The river is called “Honzu River” on the west side of the bridge, and “Katsura River” on the east side.
